He had played many concerts with the orchestra during the 2014 fall season, with programmes that had included the most well-known saxophone orchestra solos with pieces by G. Bizet, M. Mussorsky, M. Ravel and more.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In December 2014, Ku was invited by Le Bureau de repr\u00e9sentation de Taipei en France to play a recital \u201cHommage \u00e0 Adolphe SAX\u201d with French saxophonist Steward Souppaya in Paris which celebrated Mr. Sax\u2019s 200<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary. From 2010 to 2014, Ku gave regular lectures on \u201cThe Appreciation of Music\u201d at Tunghai University. He is also one of the members of the Taipei Philharmonic Chamber Society where he frequently presents concerts and performances in each music season.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Chun-Hao Ku started his music experience at age five with classical piano. Later he attended a school choir at elementary school, and played trumpet at junior high school. Ku started on the saxophone at age 16 when he was at Taichung First Senior High School, with no professional saxophone teacher at that time. Three years later, he was selected at a audition by the music department of Tunghai University, Taichung, to study saxophone with Shyen Lee in 1999. During his college years, Chun-Hao Ku displayed his passion in learning music. In addition to working hard to improve his saxophone skills and knowledge, Ku eagerly attended many musical events and activities. He minored in Dr. Annie Chung\u2019s orchestral conducting class for four years and in Dr. Mei-Chun Chen\u2019s composition class for one year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After college and military service in Taiwan, Ku went to Paris to continue his music education. He became the first Taiwanese student in Jean-Yves Fourmeau\u2019s studio at the Conservatoire de Cergy-Pontoise in 2005. In Cergy, Ku continued his passion of learning Western music. Besides the saxophone, he took chamber music, music theory, a cappella, early music interpretation and transcription classes at the conservatoire. He also attended many international activities during his time in France.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ku was officially a member of RATP Philharmonie and l\u2019Orchestre d\u2019harmonie de Levallois as a principal saxophonist from 2006 to 2010.
