SaxoBang Ensemble

Founded in 2012 and officially registered as a professional performance group in Taipei City in 2018, SaxoBang Ensemble is led by Music Director Shuen-An (Josh) Tzuo and Music Counselor Chun-Hao Ku. SBE’s members include conservatory-trained saxophonists from Taiwan and beyond. Currently, the ensemble’s core members include Shuen-An (Josh) Tzuo (Taiwan), Chun-Hao Ku (Taiwan), Kwan-Wen (Ken) Chen (Taiwan), and Kacie Brown (US).

SaxoBang Ensemble is committed to excellence in all its endeavors, from multimedia performances to educational initiatives, and has achieved international recognition for its efforts. In recent years, SBE has earned four invitations to perform at the Singapore Saxophone Symposium, hosted performances with world-class musicians including Jean-Yves Fourmeau (France), Otis Murphy (US), Fukio Quartet (Spain), and composer Ryota Ishikawa (Japan), and regularly curated dynamic, innovative musical experiences designed to immerse audiences in music, introspection, and community.
