NAFA Saxophone Ensemble
Since their debut in 2013, the NAFA Saxophone Ensemble has become a dynamic fixture in Singapore’s classical and contemporary music scene. The ensemble has performed at major public and private venues, including the Singapore Saxophone Symposium, Assisi Hospice Centre, Yishun Community Hospital, Changi Airport, Gardens by the Bay, and Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay.
Beyond Singapore, the quartet has participated in international music festivals, workshops, and cultural exchanges across Asia and Europe. Highlights include performances and residencies at the Prince of Wales Island International School and Universiti Sains Malaysia (2014), Mahidol University in Bangkok (2015), the Taoyuan International Wind Band Festival and Asia Pacific Saxophone Congress in Taiwan (2014, 2016), and the 17th World Saxophone Congress in Strasbourg, France (2015). In 2018, they proudly presented an all-Singaporean programme at the World Saxophone Congress in Zagreb, Croatia.
Committed to promoting local talent and repertoire, the NAFA Saxophone Ensemble curates an annual concert series entitled Saxophone Rojak, showcasing an eclectic blend of styles, collaborations, and new works by Singaporean composers and arrangers.
