Salaya Saxophone Ensemble
Salaya Saxophone Ensemble (SSE) is one of the most advanced contemporary and classical saxophone ensembles in South East Asia. Originally formed by 12 prestigious young saxophonists at the College of Music, Mahidol University, the nationalities of the ensemble’s members include Mainland China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand.
Over the years of performing around the world, the Salaya Saxophone Ensemble has made glorious achievements, including 2nd Prize Winner of the 2018 Thailand International Wind Ensemble Competition (TIWEC). With a music-sharing and non-competitive spirit in mind, the ensemble has been to various stages around the world, including the SaxOpen in Strasbourg, France (2015); Singapore Saxophone Symposium in NAFA, Singapore (2016); the 1st Asian Saxophone Congress in Chiayi, Taiwan (2016), as well as concert tours domestically in Thailand since 2013.
The Salaya Saxophone Ensemble hopes to continue exploring and contributing to the world of saxophone music, by sharing it with people who love and admire it.
