dBm

dBm is a contemporary music duo comprising Daniel Yiau (Clarinets) and Michellina Chan (Saxophones). Formed in 2018, Daniel and Michellina both met when they were studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. dBm has performed at the Singapore Saxophone Symposium 2018, National University Singapore’s Telling Stories: Performers(‘) Present International Artistic Research Symposium, Evening Chants: Quiet Hours, Kuching Youth Band Festival, Esplanade Concourse series Cool Classics: Spectrum Platform, and Resonate with: The Philharmonic Winds at the National Gallery.

dBm by scientific definition is a unit of level used to indicate that a power ratio is expressed in decibels (dB) with reference to one milliwatt (mW). dBm as a dynamic duo seeks to [re]define what the power of 2 new music advocates can create, continuously challenging the normative classical music trends within the region.
